Wanted a few new sets of curtains that could block sunlight completely when covering the window.
Master Blinds Solution
Blackout curtains are one of the simplest ways to control natural sunlight.
Of course, there are far more nuanced methods like blinds or motorized shades. But for simplicity and effectiveness, you can’t go wrong with blackout curtains. The room darkening quality provided by these draperies is owed to the thick fabric. It blocks sunlight completely, unlike sheer materials that diffuse it and therefore let some sunlight through. Blackout curtains prevent any light from passing, making them excellent for bedroom windows. We showed Mrs. Grul some samples, talked about designs and colors she liked, and different types of curtain rods and hanging methods.
We ended up creating custom blackout curtains for a few different rooms for her, with different types of hangers and rods.
