So what are window blinds really? Well, as opposed to shades (the two window coverings are often mistakenly interchangeable) blinds are more tactile. They consist of harder slats (often made from wood, vinyl, PVC, etc) which you can adjust to let more or less sunlight in. With shades, the opacity of the fabric (meaning how sheer it is) determines how much sunlight gets through.

With blinds, you can adjust the level of exposure and privacy without moving the whole covering. Apart from the common horizontal variety, there are also vertical blinds. Those tend to work really well for sliding glass doors and tall windows. Being made from harder materials allows blinds to maintain better durability and a wider range of sunlight control options. They also allow for a lot of customization.

From blackout to light filtering, from faux wood to real timber. The beautiful blinds you want are a click away.
